  • Contact information: name, business name, email address, mobile and business phone numbers, and mailing address.
  • Business and application information: business type, tax ID, business address, ownership details, processing volume, bank account details for deposits, and other information required to evaluate and set up a merchant account.
  • Merchant processing statements: statements and related documents you upload so we can analyze your current processing costs.
  • Communications: messages you send us and your communication preferences, including SMS consent.
Information collected automatically

When you use the Site we collect information about your device and how you use the Site, including IP address, browser type, time zone, pages viewed, referring website or search terms, and interactions with the Site (“Device Information”). We collect it using:

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as described below:

  • Payment processing partners: payment processors, sponsor banks and underwriting partners that review and approve merchant accounts, when you apply for one.
  • Service providers: companies that help us operate the Services, such as website hosting, customer relationship management and messaging platforms, analytics (including Google Analytics), and technology providers that help us read and analyze uploaded statements. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety: to comply with law, regulation, subpoena or other lawful request, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are handled as described in the Text Messaging section below.

Text Messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and check an SMS consent box, Tap Simple will send the text messages you agreed to receive. Account and service messages cover your statement analysis, application status, onboarding and support. Marketing messages (pricing offers and product updates) are sent only if you separately agree to receive them. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Email Communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. We may still send service and account emails related to your analysis, application or account.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business records, and meet legal, regulatory and card network requirements. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

The Services are intended for businesses and individuals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
